I am super passionate about good skin care, which is one of the many reasons Solitude Soapworks came to life. I believe one can never be too young or too old to treat your skin with kindness.
We introduced our Bakuchi Face Oil in early summer and the response to it has been amazing. A gentle, face serum, that is appropriate for sensitive skin that might make you think you've turned back the clock like Benjamin Button.
STAR INGREDIENTS OF OUR BAKUCHI FACE OIL
Bakuchi Oil (Psoralea Corylifolia Seed Oil):
Derived from the seeds of the Psoralea corylifolia plant, this oil has been cherished in Ayurvedic traditions for centuries. Its remarkable benefits for skin health are the cornerstone of our Bakuchi Face Oil.
- Hyperpigmentation Control: Bakuchi oil is renowned for its ability to combat hyperpigmentation, dark spots, and uneven skin tone. Its natural compounds help inhibit melanin production, promoting a brighter, more even complexion.
- Anti-Aging Marvel: Rich in antioxidants, Bakuchi oil fights free radicals and helps reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It supports the skin's elasticity and firmness, promoting a youthful appearance.
- Skin Rejuvenation: Bakuchi oil aids the skin's natural regeneration process, assisting in the repair of damaged tissue and infusing your skin with a youthful glow.
Watermelon Seed Oil (Citrullus Lanatus Seed Oil): Extracted from the seeds of the luscious watermelon fruit, this oil is a hydration powerhouse, complementing Bakuchi oil's benefits perfectly.
- Intense Hydration: Watermelon seed oil is deeply moisturizing, instantly quenching your skin's thirst and leaving it feeling soft, supple, and plump.
- Balanced Complexion: With non-comedogenic properties, it suits all skin types, regulating sebum production to prevent breakouts while promoting a healthy, balanced complexion.
- Antioxidant Armor: Loaded with vitamins A and E, watermelon seed oil acts as a protective shield against environmental stressors and UV damage, reducing the signs of premature aging.
Red Raspberry Seed Oil (Rubus Idaeus Seed Oil):
- Anti-Inflammatory: It calms inflammation and soothes irritated skin, making it ideal for sensitive or reactive skin types.
- Omega-Rich Nourishment: Packed with essential fatty acids, it replenishes and hydrates the skin, promoting a healthy, radiant complexion.
Rosehip Oil (Rosa Canina Fruit Oil):
- Scar and Blemish Reduction: Rosehip oil is known to help fade scars, blemishes, and imperfections, promoting a smoother, more even skin texture.
- Hydration and Elasticity: It deeply moisturizes and enhances skin elasticity, diminishing the appearance of fine lines and promoting a youthful complexion.
- Antioxidant Boost: Rich in vitamins C and E, Rosehip Oil defends against free radicals, supporting overall skin health.

Unscented
I was increasingly frustrated that the ingredients in my favorite body products were not only unpronounceable and unrecognizable, but also questionable as to if they were good for my body.
I started making body butters using simple, recognizable ingredients for myself and ended up making them as gifts as well.
I run a successful boutique business and love working with customers to create one-of-a-kind, custom products and gifts that are made with love and intention and filled with the peace and serenity of the mountains.
“I make my soaps in small batches, which allows me to oversee every tiny detail of production and put out high-quality products that you can not only feel good about using but that also leave your skin feeling amazing.”
Solitude Soapworks studio is situated on the back part of our homestead, overlooking flower gardens, forests, and the majestic high peaks.
It blends in as only an Adirondack Camp cabin can with a green metal roof and dark brown siding. Very unassuming from the outside but indoors is where the magic happens. You’ll find plants, crystals, and a wall of fragrance and color—it’s a hippie’s paradise, and there is always music playing. (It keeps the gremlins away.)
Our soaps are formulated to be gentle for all skin types, using only the highest quality plant-based butters and oils we can source, and our leave-on body products are made with organic ingredients wherever possible.
