Why Someone at Market Asked Me to Teach an Incense Class
July 28, 2025
It Started with a Simple Question
Yesterday at the market, while I was restocking incense jars and answering questions about our bestsellers, a customer leaned in and asked, "Would you ever consider teaching a class on how to make these?" At first, I laughed it off, my hands were still dusty from putting out products, but honestly, it’s not the first time I’ve been asked about teaching classes.
Why Handmade Incense Hits Different
Our incense isn’t your run-of-the-mill variety. I hand-dip each stick in custom scent blends I create from scratch; you won’t find these fragrances anywhere else. We’re talking signature combinations like High Vibrations and Maple Tea Bourbon... scents rooted in memory, mood, and the Adirondack wilds I call home.
Teaching the Craft: Maybe Someday?
The idea of sharing this part of the process lights a little spark in me. I love connecting with people who want more than just a product , they want to understand the process, the ingredients, the intention. Whether it's at a future workshop or maybe even a DIY incense kit (I’m thinking about it), that curiosity means everything to a maker like me.
